My Review

Highland Shifter swept me away with everything I love in a time-travel romance: danger, magic, strong family ties, and—of course—a brawny Highland hero in a kilt.

I was initially worried about jumping into book four of the MacCoinnich series, but the author does a fantastic job weaving in enough background that I never felt lost. Simon is the epitome of a swoon-worthy hero—fiercely protective yet deeply loyal. And Helen? She's a smart, independent heroine who holds her own, even when faced with sword fights and the unexpected reality of 16th-century Scotland.

This story has all the feels. There are laugh-out-loud moments, family bonds that tug at your heart, and some absolutely heart-wrenching decisions that had me reaching for the tissues.

If you're a fan of time travel, magic, found family, and Highland romance, this book is a must-read. While it reads well as a standalone, I now fully plan to go back and devour the earlier books in the series.

Favorite Quote

“’Tis time we clear up a few things in your lovely head about me,” he murmured, stepping close enough for her to feel the heat of his body...

I've always been intrigued by this author. Which book do you suggest that I start with? Maybe this book is not the best to start with? I usually read paranormal romance/urban fantasy/dystopian books.

Stephanie, you can start with Highland Shifter, but if you want start with Binding Vows.

Thanks for reading.
